DESCRIPTION:
A major problem in ML channel equalizers is the estimation of the unknown channel. In this thesis, novel efficient methods are developed that bypass this step, by exploiting information residing in the clusters formed by the observations. The resulting equalizers, are LS optimal, yet with very low computational complexity, and multiplier-free operations.
