This project was aiming to the completion of an integrated cancer detection system incorporating parallel processing techniques. Feature extraction algorithms are used for the detection cancer regions. These algorithms were implemented and executed on a two-processor system. The processors could operate in parallel. The feature extraction algorithms were chosen for this implementation because they are more demanding in computational power compared to the other algorithms involved in the cancer detection methodology.
